Search Differently

Finding the right therapist is about more than their credentials.

Training matters. Experience matters. But so does whether you want someone gentle or direct, structured or spacious, quietly steady or willing to challenge you.

Our profiles are designed to help you understand more than what each counselor treats. They are meant to give you a sense of what it may actually feel like to sit across from them.

Meet Our Counselors

Different counselors. Different specialties. Unique approaches.

Each profile begins with a quick sense of fit and gives you the option to go deeper. Take your time. You do not need to read everything to notice when someone resonates.

Faith + Counseling

Christian counselors. Your choice about faith.

Joshua Tree is a collective of Christian counselors in Tucson. For some clients, faith is an important part of healing. They may want to include prayer, Scripture, spiritual questions, or conversations about their relationship with God.

Other clients want thoughtful, skilled counseling without integrating faith—and they are equally welcome here.

Your beliefs and preferences guide the work. Faith is never assumed or imposed. You can request Christian counseling, ask for faith to remain outside the counseling room, or decide as the process unfolds.

Include Faith Invite faith into the counseling process.
Keep It Separate Receive counseling without faith integration.
Decide As You Go Let your preferences develop over time.

Each counselor approaches faith integration differently. Their individual profiles can help you find someone who fits both your clinical needs and your preferences around faith.

Still Deciding?

Not sure who feels right?

You do not have to choose perfectly. Tell us who counseling is for, what you are navigating, where you would prefer to meet, and whether faith integration matters to you. We can help identify a few counselors who may fit what you are looking for.

Understanding Your Options

Different kinds of support. Clearly identified.

Joshua Tree includes counselors with different licenses, levels of training, and scopes of practice. Each profile clearly identifies the kind of counseling being offered.

Independently licensed psychotherapy

These therapists have completed graduate education, clinical training, licensing examinations, and the supervised experience required for independent clinical practice.

LPC LCSW

Licensed psychotherapy under supervision

These counselors hold an Arizona license and provide psychotherapy while completing additional clinical experience under the guidance of an independently licensed supervisor.

LAC LMSW

Graduate-level counseling internship

Counseling interns are completing graduate clinical training and receive close supervision. Internship sessions are offered at a reduced fee.

INTERN

Pastoral counseling

Pastoral counseling offers explicitly Christian, story-informed soul care. It is not clinical psychotherapy and does not include mental health diagnosis or treatment as a licensed clinician.

Need a Little Help?

Need help choosing or booking?

Most new clients can request an appointment directly from a counselor’s profile. Sometimes, however, online booking may not show the counselor or type of service you need.

This may happen if you are a current client, are arranging counseling for a child or teen, want to begin couples or family counseling, or are using an email address that is already connected with Joshua Tree.

Complete the short form below, and Kelly will help you determine the appropriate next step.

Where We Meet

The counseling space matters too.

Counseling asks you to slow down, pay attention, and sometimes speak about things that are difficult to name. Our offices were designed to feel warm, personal, and distinctly unlike a clinical waiting room.

About the Collective

A note about how Joshua Tree works

Counselors at Joshua Tree work as independent contractors rather than employees. Each counselor maintains responsibility for their own professional practice and determines the clients they serve, session fees, availability, policies, and approach to counseling. Joshua Tree provides the environment, administrative systems, shared brand, and referral opportunities that support their work. Credentials, supervision status, services, and scope of practice are identified on each counselor’s individual profile.
