If you’re looking for a counselor who is warm, steady, and insightful, Elliott might be the right fit for you. Whether you’re a couple feeling stuck in the same arguments, a man wrestling with pornography or sexual addiction, or an athlete trying to manage the pressures of performance, Elliott offers a space that feels safe enough to tell the whole story. His clients often describe him as approachable and thoughtful—someone who listens deeply without rushing, and who can offer clear perspective when you’re ready for it. Elliott enjoys moving marriages from struggling to thriving; helping men break the bonds of sexual addiction; and working with adults and older teens struggling with mental health symptoms or performance-related issues.

Elliott’s clinical approach is reflective and client-led, and he knows when to be direct and when to hold space. He specializes in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method with couples, helping partners move past defensiveness into understanding, trust, and real connection. For individual clients, he supports adults and older teens navigating anxiety, anger, addiction, grief, and trauma. As a former collegiate athlete, Elliott brings a unique understanding of performance pressure and identity, working with athletes to build resilience and redefine what success means beyond the scoreboard. In every session, his focus is to help clients feel hopeful, encouraged, and capable of real change.

As a Christian counselor, Elliott welcomes faith into the process for those who desire it, integrating biblical principles and spiritual reflection without judgment or pressure. Whether you’re working to heal relational wounds, confront hidden struggles, or simply become the healthiest version of yourself, he will meet you with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that growth is always possible. His calm, big-picture approach helps clients feel seen, supported, and inspired to move forward—one honest conversation at a time.

How Elliott Can Help

Elliott’s approach to counseling is warm, steady, and unhurried. He believes that meaningful change happens when you feel safe enough to be honest—and supported enough to try something new. Whether he’s working with individuals, couples, or young adults, Elliott listens deeply, asks thoughtful questions, and offers clear insight when it’s most needed. His hope is that every client will leave sessions feeling encouraged, understood, inspired and equipped to move forward with greater purpose, resilience, and faith.

In his work with couples, Elliott primarily uses Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners move beyond defensiveness and rediscover their bond. He also integrates principles from The Gottman Method, supporting couples in learning to communicate more openly, repair trust, and grow in empathy. Whether you’re navigating long-standing conflicts or feeling emotionally distant, Elliott offers a steady, faith-sensitive presence to help you rebuild your relationship on a stronger foundation.

Elliott works with men who are quietly battling pornography or sexual addiction, offering a nonjudgmental space to be honest about what feels unmanageable. He understands the shame and secrecy these struggles often carry, and he helps clients explore the deeper emotional and spiritual roots that drive compulsive behavior. Alongside addiction recovery, Elliott also supports men navigating anger, performance pressure, relational disconnection, and the quiet fear of not measuring up. He believes that healing isn’t about quick fixes but about learning to show up fully in your life and relationships with integrity and courage. With faith-based encouragement, accountability tools, and practical strategies, Elliott guides men toward freedom, purpose, and healthier connection.

As a former collegiate athlete, Elliott has firsthand understanding of the unique demands and identity struggles that come with competitive sports. He helps athletes process the pressure to perform, the fear of failure, and the uncertainty that can follow injuries or transitions out of sport. With a blend of sports psychology, spiritual reflection, and practical coping skills, Elliott empowers athletes to find purpose and resilience beyond the scoreboard.

Many clients come to Elliott feeling overwhelmed by performance anxiety—whether in athletics, academics, or high-stakes careers. His approach is to help you identify the thoughts and expectations fueling the anxiety, build self-compassion, and develop tools to stay grounded under pressure. For those who desire it, Elliott also integrates biblical truths about identity and worth, reminding you that your value doesn’t depend on what you achieve.

Elliott also works with older teens and young adults, particularly those involved in sports or navigating big life transitions. He provides a safe place to talk through stress, identity questions, family dynamics, and faith in an open, approachable way. Elliott believes that adolescence and young adulthood are pivotal seasons for laying a foundation of emotional health and spiritual confidence—and he feels honored to walk alongside clients as they grow.

With individual clients, Elliott often incorporates Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help them understand and heal the different “parts” of themselves. Whether you’re wrestling with self-criticism, shame, anxiety, or conflicting desires, IFS offers a way to explore those inner dynamics with curiosity instead of judgment. Elliott gently guides clients in getting to know the protective and wounded parts that show up in daily life, so they can move toward greater self-compassion, clarity, and wholeness. For those who desire it, he also weaves in Christian perspective, helping clients see their story through the lens of grace and purpose.

Elliott welcomes clients who want to explore how their faith intersects with their struggles, goals, and relationships. He integrates Christian principles and spiritual reflection in a way that feels natural and genuine—never forced or judgmental. Whether you’re deeply rooted in your beliefs or still sorting out what faith means to you, Elliott will meet you with respect, curiosity, and compassion. His approach is to walk alongside you, helping you consider how your values and spiritual identity can support your healing without adding pressure or shame. If the Christian faith is not your belief system or if you’d rather not integrate faith into counseling, Elliott honors this with integrity, allowing what’s most important to you to play a central role in your counseling.

On a more personal note....

Before becoming a counselor, Elliott ran track in college and later worked as a graduate assistant track coach while completing his Master of Agribusiness. He also spent several years as a retail general manager before following his passion for helping people grow and heal. Outside of work, Elliott is an avid fan of anything outdoors—running, cycling, skiing, or simply being in nature. He enjoys good coffee, cooking, playing guitar, and getting lost in a great book (especially Les Misérables). When life feels stressful, he’s most often found fishing or taking a long walk without his phone. Elliott is married to his wonderful wife, Caroline and together they love being involved in their local church, fostering community with friends, and occasionally doing missions work.
