How Nando Can Help

Nando Schlecht, MA, LAC is a Tucson trauma therapist and career counselor. He specializes in helping adults heal from trauma. This includes military trauma and childhood abuse. It also includes institutional betrayal and work-related stress. He often supports first responders and healthcare professionals. Nando also enjoys helping clients rediscover vocational identity. He helps them align work with strengths and values. As a U.S. Army veteran, he brings lived experience. He also brings strong clinical training and expertise. Therefore, he attunes well to high-stakes trauma environments. In addition to trauma therapy, he offers career counseling. This work often supports deeper healing over time. Many clients shift from survival mode toward purpose. They also build work lives that feel fulfilling and aligned. When trauma feels too big or too old, he stays steady. He helps you feel less alone in the process. He walks with you as you work it through.

Clients appreciate his calm and grounded presence. They also value the space he creates for honesty. He supports growth without judgment or pressure. Nando trains in multiple trauma-focused therapies. He tailors his approach to each client’s needs. Nando may help process combat-related memories. He may also address institutional or workplace trauma. In addition, he supports healing from childhood neglect and abuse. In every case, he adjusts his methods carefully.

Nando understands trauma can create disconnection. It can also erode self-worth and safety. Many clients feel exhausted from surviving for years. Therefore, his goal is restoring inner safety and identity. He does not push past pain quickly. Instead, he meets pain with care and curiosity. He also uses evidence-based tools to shift patterns gently. These tools support brain and body regulation. Healing with Nando feels steady and empowering. Over time, clients feel more at home within themselves.

Nando integrates several advanced trauma therapies into his work, including EMDR, Brainspotting, and Deep Brain Reorienting. Each approach helps clients access deeper roots of trauma. This work happens neurologically and emotionally, not just intellectually. These methods often help when talk therapy alone has not worked. They also support healing when trauma lives in the body. Nando’s approach stays neuroscience-informed and compassion-centered. He also grounds his work in practical strategies for daily life. Nando specializes in identifying and clearing trauma triggers. He also helps clients challenge negative core beliefs. In addition, he works directly with the nervous system. This process builds safety and stability from within. His sessions address emotional and physical trauma impacts. At the same time, he supports connection, meaning, and purpose.

With EMDR, Nando helps clients reprocess distressing memories. He uses bilateral stimulation during this process. As a result, emotional intensity often decreases. Clients also shift negative beliefs tied to trauma. With Brainspotting, clients focus on fixed eye positions. These positions connect to emotional and somatic pain. This method accesses deep brain regions linked to regulation. With Deep Brain Reorienting, Nando guides clients through early threat responses. This approach works at the brainstem level. It helps release attachment shock and core wounds gently.

Nando does not use a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, he chooses methods based on each client’s story. He also considers goals and nervous system readiness. You may struggle with persistent triggers right now. You may also experience chronic anxiety or emotional shutdown. In each case, these therapies offer movement beyond survival mode. They support regulation and resilience over time. Nando’s steady presence helps the process feel grounded. His clinical precision also builds safety and empowerment. Whether you carry invisible trauma wounds or feel lost, he can help. He supports reconnection with self and story. He also helps you build a future you want to live.
