Nando Schlecht, LAC | Career Counseling and Trauma Therapy in Tucson, AZ

Trauma therapy for adults who feel stuck, burned out, or unsure what comes next. Nando combines neuroscience-informed trauma work with meaning and direction, helping clients move forward with clarity, not just cope. He specializes in working with adults whose lives are still shaped by trauma, whether that shows up in relationships, identity, work, or decision-making. His approach is steady, grounded, and paced to support real change without overwhelm. Sessions focus on helping you feel understood while also working through what has been difficult to process alone. Rather than staying at the level of insight, Nando helps translate awareness into movement, so change begins to show up in daily life. In addition to trauma therapy, he supports clients who feel at a crossroads, helping them reconnect with meaning, direction, and purpose, drawing from principles of logotherapy when
helpful. This may include navigating burnout, clarifying identity, or rebuilding a life that feels aligned rather than reactive.

Nando is a U.S. Army veteran and brings a practical understanding of high-stakes environments, chronic stress, and invisible wounds. He works well with clients who are guarded, skeptical, or unsure if therapy will help, offering a clear and grounded path forward. He integrates EMDR, Brainspotting, and Deep Brain Reorienting to support trauma resolution at both neurological and emotional levels, especially when talk therapy alone has not been enough.

For clients who want faith integrated into therapy, Nando offers a respectful and non-prescriptive approach that allows space for exploration without pressure.

How Nando Can Help

Nando Schlecht, LAC works with adults navigating trauma, burnout, and disconnection, including military experiences, childhood wounds, institutional stress, and high-demand work environments.

His work helps clients:
● Process and resolve trauma at its roots
● Reduce emotional reactivity and chronic stress
● Rebuild a sense of identity and internal stability
● Clarify direction in work and life
● Move from survival mode toward a more meaningful and integrated life

Clients often describe his presence as calm, steady, and easy to open up to. The work is  collaborative, grounded, and focused on helping you move forward in a way that feels real and sustainable.

Nando integrates several trauma-focused approaches to support both nervous system regulation and deeper resolution:

● EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

● Brainspotting

● Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)

● Ego State Therapy (parts-informed work)

● Somatic and nervous system-based approaches

● Trauma Model Therapy (TMT)

● Logotherapy (meaning, identity, purpose)

These methods help access and resolve trauma beyond the level of talking, especially when patterns feel stuck or difficult to shift. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, Nando tailors the work to each client’s needs, goals, and readiness.

Nando does not use a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, he chooses methods based on each client’s story. He also considers goals and nervous system readiness. You may struggle with persistent triggers right now. You may also experience chronic anxiety or emotional shutdown. In each case, these therapies offer movement beyond survival mode. They support regulation and resilience over time. Nando’s steady presence helps the process feel grounded. His clinical precision also builds safety and empowerment. Whether you carry invisible trauma wounds or feel lost, he can help. He supports reconnection with self and story. He also helps you build a future you want to live.
