Dana Denney, LPC

Dana Denney, LPC

Adults

Bold, practical hope for adults affected by addiction, relational abuse, anxiety, depression, OCD, and grief. Dana brings a wise, direct, and collaborative approach to therapy, balanced with humor, compassion, and encouragement. She specializes in chemical and behavioral addictions and also works closely with family members who have become consumed by trying to manage, rescue, or change someone they love. Dana has a particular interest in helping women heal from abusive or controlling relationships, strengthen boundaries, and develop a clearer sense of themselves. Dana also supports clients through profound grief and loss. She does not rush pain, minimize it, or search for the perfect thing to say. Instead, she offers a steady presence while helping clients identify what they need, recognize the choices available to them, and begin moving forward at a pace that feels honest and sustainable.

Dana describes her role as riding in the sidecar attached to the client’s motorcycle. She offers perspective, practical tools, coaching, and encouragement while the client remains in the driver’s seat. Over time, the goal is for the client to pull the pin on the sidecar and continue forward with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional independence. As a former competitive athlete, Dana understands the discipline, patience, and persistence meaningful change requires. She helps clients take small, practical steps toward the life they want while reminding them that they do not have to be perfect to become healthier or happier. Dana offers Christian counseling, including the integration of Scripture and prayer, when requested.
