Marybeth Steigenga, PhD, BCPC
Warm, steady, practical Christian counseling for women in the midst of midlife, and stable couples. As a pastoral counselor, Marybeth blends clinical knowledge, biblical truth, and personal experience with a warm, creative approach. If you are a woman in the thick of a mid-life, real-life transition like grief and loss; chronic illness (your own or your spouse’s); retirement or career shifts; downsizing or relocation, empty nesting; parenting adult children, or identity and faith struggles in changing seasons, Marybeth may be the right Christian counselor for you. She also provides faith-based marriage coaching for couples seeking to reconnect, prepare for marriage, or simply understand each other better (please note: if you are a couple in crisis, facing divorce, or working through infidelity, please check out our licensed couples counselors). She is trained in SYMBIS and Prepare/Enrich and integrate tools like the Enneagram and attachment theory to help couples grow in connection, communication, and Christ-centered intimacy. Marybeth is an ordained minister of pastoral care with a masters and doctorate in Christian counseling, and is credentialed as a board certified pastoral counselor (BCPC). You’ll find her approach to be about as real and genuine as a close friend you're meeting for mentorship over coffee. She works with clients nationwide via telehealth or in person in Tucson.
