Clinical Supervision

Rachel Neville, LPC, NCC

Hi, I’m Rachel Neville, a Christian clinical supervisor in Tucson. I hold independent licensure through the AZBBHE as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Additionally, I maintain certification as a National Certified Counselor. I completed formal EMDR training through EMDRIA.

I founded Joshua Tree Counseling and specialize in trauma therapy. My work centers on complex trauma and dissociation. Because of that focus, I invest heavily in continuing education. I also train associate counselors to treat trauma competently and confidently.

Supervision Specialty

I am a Christian clinical supervisor who specializes in trauma and dissociation. If you want to develop as a trauma therapist, I would welcome walking with you. Together, we will build a strong and ethical clinical foundation.

Complex trauma frequently includes dissociation. However, many clinicians miss it. As a result, they treat symptoms instead of addressing root causes. During my internship at Renewal Centers, I encountered severe dissociation early. That experience shaped the direction of my career and supervision style.

Over the years, I have completed extensive trauma training. My work draws from leaders in dissociation and EMDR. Additionally, I integrate attachment-focused, somatic, and parts-based models. Supervision with me emphasizes depth, discernment, and clinical precision.

My Philosophy

I take a holistic and integrative approach to counseling. Healing happens through mind, body, thought, and emotion. Research consistently highlights the power of the therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I prioritize safety and trust above technique.

I view my role as both guide and partner. At first, I help you navigate complexity. Over time, you strengthen your own clinical instincts. Eventually, you practice with clarity and confidence.

Graduate programs teach knowledge about counseling. Supervision develops the art and mechanics of counseling. Through discussion and reflection, you refine who you are as a therapist.

I do not aim to mold you into my image. Instead, I look for your strengths and help them grow. Think of me as present, steady, and invested in your development.
